This project is mainly aimed for leave management system for organizations like IT industry, Bank, Hospitals, Schools and colleges. This project can be used throughout the organization in all departments to automate the workflow of leave applications and their approvals. The periodic crediting of leave is also automated in this leave management system. The leave type for the employees such as annual leave, medical leave, maternity leave and unpaid leave are also updated whenever the employee takes leave. There are features like automatic notification for admin when staff applies leave, generate reports for the managers that shows the leave details of the employees and automatic leave calculation for the staffs. Leave management system reduce the paper work and maintains record in more efficient way.
This system is accessed by three main roles Admin, Manager and the Staff. The staff can login into the system and apply leave. Every time when the staff applies leave, the system will automatically query the leave balance. The staff has a facility to see the leave history since the time he/she joined the organization. Once the leave is submitted it is then noticed to the corresponding managers and the manager is responsible for accepting and canceling the leave request. Every time the manager accepts the request a summary report of the leave detail is sent to the admin. The leave for the managers are approved by the admin. Thus this online application is more flexible to access information.
